Best Buddies, Clownfish & Anemone

The clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) and anemone are truly best buddies, maintaining a relationship
that benefits
each of them.
The clownfish keeps butterflyfish – which graze on the anemone’s tentacles – away from the anemone. The anemone’s tentacles, on the other hand, provide protection for the clownfish, which becomes immune to the anemone’s poison through repeated exposure.
Clownfish and anemone – made for each other!
Fun fact
All clownfish are born male, and turn into females as they mature.
