Flounder Find

For such a common fish, the flounder (Pleuronectes americanus) can be surprisingly difficult to find. Its flat body and ability to change color makes it hard to spot on the ocean floor – the better to fool unsuspecting prey and hide from predators.

See if you can spot the flounders in our Flounder Find Exhibit.
