Book Your Group/Class Trip

September through June July and August

GROUP ADMISSION – SEPTEMBER THROUGH JUNE

  • Group tickets September through June is $19.66 (+ tax) per person.
  • Group bookings to have a minimum of 15 paying guests. No exceptions.
  • For every 10 children under the age of 17, you will get ONE free adult (chaperone). When making your reservation, please include ALL paying and non-paying guests, with the exception of children under 2 years old. Children under 2 are free and do not need to be included in your count.
  • Group pricing (September through June) includes the Aquarium plus Butterfly, Bugs & Bees Habitat. 
  • Check In – One Group Leader should enter through the group entrance door (on the far right) to check in your group.
  • Your itinerary will calculate the tax for your trip. However, if you are Tax Exempt we will deduct the tax when you arrive. If you do not have a Tax Exemption Form, by law we cannot exempt your reservation.

Some important things to know for your visit are:

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

  • Method of Payment: Paying Upon Arrival: Credit Card / Cash / Company Check / PO / BOCES
  • The Aquarium will NOT accept any personal checks.
  • If you have chosen to pay upon arrival, we require that you use only ONE form of payment.
  • If you pay exclusively in cash, you will get a 3.5% discount.
  • If you are paying with cash, we ask that you pay with large bills (if possible).
  • If you are paying with a Credit Card, we will only accept one card per transaction.
  • If you are tax exempt, you MUST bring a copy of your tax exemption form with you.
  • The aquarium CANNOT exempt the tax on personal credit cards. It must be a company credit card.

CHECK IN:

  • Before checking in, please make sure you have your final head count number (including the number of children, adults and seniors).
  • ONE group leader may enter the front lobby of the aquarium to check the group in and make the final payment.
  • The rest of the group should line up in a single file line outside the group entrance door at the front of the aquarium until our guest services staff finishes checking the group leader in.
  • YOUR ENTIRE GROUP MUST BE PRESENT IN ORDER TO CHECK IN. IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER, PLEASE HAVE YOUR GROUP REMAIN ON THE BUSES UNTIL YOUR GROUP LEADER RETURNS.
  • Your group will line up single file and everyone will be hand stamped. All adults in your group must have a dated sticker that will be handed out to the group leader at check-in.
  • Bus drivers and school nurses accompanying your group receive free admission to the Aquarium- they just need to show a work ID to a Guest Services staff member.
  • If your group has additional parents attending with your group, the aquarium will honor the same group rate if they are NOT paid with your group.

LUNCH:

  • If your group is bringing bagged lunch, all bags can be stored in our Riverfront Room (subject to availability), located in the rear of the aquarium next to the Penguin Pavilion.
  • Limited space is available. Please stagger lunch times if your group exceeds 50 guests or more.
  • Additional seating is available on our outdoor pavilion and outdoor table areas.

INFORMATION ABOUT BUS PARKING

  • Buses may drop your group off at the main entrance of the Aquarium (at the half-circle), but they are NOT permitted to park there.
  • Buses ARE able to park for free on the left side of the Aquarium Parking lot located on Ostrander Avenue (directly across the street from the Aquarium and down 3 blocks, past the train tracks).
  • Buses MUST pick up your group by the Peconic River Waterfront, opposite the Aquarium’s loading dock. Your group MUST exit the Aquarium at the Penguin Pavilion turn style located on the west side of the Aquarium.
  • Buses are NOT permitted to pick your group up at the front of the aquarium (with the exception of handicap buses).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • The Long Island Aquarium is open from 10 AM- 4PM on weekdays and 10AM-5PM on weekends
  • The Butterfly, Bugs & Bees Habitat opens at 10 AM daily. The Atlantis Café and gift shops open at 11 AM daily.
  • Your admission will include: Aquarium and all shows, talks, and feeds scheduled for the day, these shows go on rain or shine unless there is extreme weather circumstances.
  • Please arrive early to the shows that you would like to attend as seating cannot be guaranteed and missing a show will NOT warrant any refunds.
  • Ask about an education tour on The Atlantis Explorer Tour Boat. Click HERE for information on these amazing excursions.
  • MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME.
